Designation: Supply Chain Manager (South Asia Industrial and Composites Business)
Functional Area: Supply Chain (Production Planning, Customer Order Management, Warehousing/Transportation, Import/Export management)
Reports to: Regional Director Supply Chain – Asia Pacific (excluding China)
Location: Vikhroli, Mumbai
Criteria: - Our client is looking for an experienced End-to-End Supply Chain Operations Manager with a proven track record in chemical or process industries.
- Engineer (B.E or B.Tech) with Post Graduate Qualifications in Supply Chain or Materials Management with 18 -24 years of strong professional end to end experience in SCM in the chemical or process related industries
- Experience in supplier management, production planning, 3rd Party Logistics and deemed manufacturing operations
- Ability to create and maintain relationships with vendors & service providers
- Ability to understand and influence both ends of the supply chain – Purchasing and Customer service
- Awareness of Continuous Improvement and / or Lean manufacturing and / or Supplier Performance management programs
- Hazardous material handling
- Experience of operating ERP in SAP and must be able to oversee local SAP issues / transactions
- Must be familiar with Indian tax regime, import / export tariffs and duties, accounts administration requirement
- Be reactive to problem situations and proactive in moving the business and its statutory requirements going forward
- Must have excellent English, both written and verbal
- Excellent Excel / Word / Office knowledge
Job Description: -
The position reports to Regional Director Supply Chain in India and the incumbent needs to work closely with the Management Team in India and the Global Supply chain teams based in EMEA, China and USA.
- Set up, maintain & manage the End-to-End Supply and Delivery Management Operations in India
- Create quality, reliable, timely & cost-effective supply chains involving toll manufacturers, contract manufacturers and third party logistics (3PL) partners
- Act as primary local supply chain liaison, maintaining 3PL contracts as appropriate local registrations etc.
- Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers to enhance opportunities for business development, business optimization and business partnerships
- Review and negotiate vendor contracts and agreements, and other terms and conditions to for increased supply chain flexibility, reduced costs to achieve company goals and objectives
- Continuously improve operations, streamline work processes to create quality, reliable, timely & cost-effective supply chains encompassing production planning, order management, Inter-company sourcing and domestic / international logistics
- Maintain local stocks in line with agreed days of sales targets and monitor and control stock accuracy
- Manage the delivery process to customers in India
- Manage Customer Service in liaison with the local sales and financial staff
- Manage Quality in the local operation
- Oversee and manage accuracy and timeliness of SAP transactions and interfacing same with EMEA, China and USA (direct indent business)
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls, local auditing and Statutory requirements
- Reporting and Incident management
