Position: Research Associate – Process Chemistry
Location: Navi Mumbai
Criteria:
- PhD in synthetic organic chemistry with min. 2 – 3 yr. of exp.
- Thorough knowledge of chemical laboratory work
- International experience is preferred
- Profound experience with scientific data retrieving tools like SciFinder, Reaxys
- Project management skills
- Intercultural understanding and interpersonal skills for managing internal and external project communication with regional and global stakeholders
Objective: To devise new synthetic methodologies and design new reactions & processes. The lab provides route scouting; optimization expertize and discovery support to research teams in Ludwigshafen (DE) and Mumbai (IN).
Job Description:
- Support synthetic chemistry projects with respect to route scouting, optimization, scale-up, technical packages & technology transfer as per project
- specific requirements (volumes, timeline & quality etc.).
- Meet timelines & quality requirements for all project phases and deliveries to stake holders
- Ensure right process safety techniques are employed before scale-up decisions.
- Foster innovation and come-up with new ideas for existing as well as new a.i.’s;
- Devise new synthetic methodologies and processes; Stay up to date with synthetic and process technology developments in his/her respective field.
- Document & communicate lab results in scientific manner.
- Ensure close communication between local, regional and global stakeholders (for example research, analytical, procurement, management etc.)
- Adherence to IT, Safety and Scientific/Regulatory compliances as per company policy
- Proactive, result driven and entrepreneurial approach towards tasks
- Support identification& hiring of bench chemists;
- Mentoring/guiding team to achieve set goals.
- Following & fostering good house-keeping practices in lab and in general Internal and external relationships (nature and frequency)
- Close relationship and frequent interaction with relevant team project teams. (e.g. safety department, engineering, purchasing, logistics, etc.). Also, close relationship to the synthetic chemistry teams at the process research teams in Ludwigshafen, Germany is mandatory.
