Position: IT Support Specialist - Regional Service Desk

Location: Adas, Gujarat

Reporting To: Global Digital Advisor

Criteria: BS degree in IT or IT-related field, Business Administration, Business Informatics. with min 3+ years of experience of IT support and training experience in IT preferred.

Key Skills and Knowledge: 

  • Demonstrated working knowledge in topics such as PC hardware, Printers, Microsoft software and network administration.  Certifications are a plus.

  • Excellent customer service and troubleshooting skills to identify problems quickly and fix them according to user requirements.

  • Strong organizational skills, self-sufficiency, adaptability, and multitasking skills

  • Ability and desire to train and advise our users on how to best work with our digital workplace tools and apps. 

  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

  • As part of a harmonized enterprise IT landscape, you understand the impact of standardization and see the big picture when evaluating local versus global solutions.

  • Working with remote and cross-cultural teams through virtual interaction comes naturally to you.

  • Experience working in a production environment is a plus.

  • Up to 5% of your working time is travelling.

Job Purpose: Provide local and remote IT support for the India Office and Asia Pacific sites, enhance user digital skills, manage IT infrastructure, and collaborate on IT projects and service delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Together with your team colleagues, you are responsible for local support of our India Office / Production sites as well as remote support for sites in Asia Pacific Region.  

  • To improve the digital competencies of our users, you will conduct regular trainings and advise them on how to best use the tools and apps of our digital workplace.

  • You are committed to the digital transformation at our company by proactively engaging with our users to understand their needs and requests for improvements.

  • Manage local site IT infrastructure and applications in both production and office environments as complementary to your IT service role.

  • Handle a variety of IT issues in collaboration with our 2nd level support teams.

  • Configure, deploy, administer, and troubleshoot PCs, mobile devices, label printers, hand scanners, IP cameras, and other IT equipment.

  • Purchase IT consumables and supplies to ensure the proper IT equipment for our users.

  • Coordinate and manage external service providers for IT service delivery where needed.

  • Participate in local/regional/corporate IT project implementations as part of a larger team.

  • Contribute to ongoing IT Infrastructure and user support documentation and maintain inventory systems.
