Position: Senior Marketing Manager

Location: Mumbai

Reporting To: Marketing Director, India

Reportees: 2

Criteria: MBA (Marketing) from Tier 1 institute with 10+Years of experience in Marketing / Product Management , ideally from FMCG non-food.(Added advantage if Sales experience of 2-3 years)

Skills:

  • Knowledge in Product Marketing (product development, consumer insights, positioning, media planning, agency management)

  • Knowledge of relevant software tools (MS Office etc.)

Specific Skills & Knowledge: 

  • Basic understanding of principles of a P&L statement and financial key figures (KPIs)

  • Use and understanding of Kantar / Nielsen data and any relevant market analytics tools

  • Brand Management, Category Management, and Project Management

  • Competent in MS office tools – Excel and Powerpoint

  • Strong business communication (written and oral) & presentation skills

  • Leadership skills, ability to think and act holistic and critical

  • Strong in interpersonal relationship management, working in cross-functional teams and matrix environments

  • Team player, able to work in mixed teams across different functions

Job Purpose: Responsible for development and execution of category growth plans. Ensure that the brand promise is maintained & that the brand stays true to its values & positioning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop the annual business plan for the given product category; Manage the product portfolio (existing and new) including commercialization, market growth, profitability tracking and go-to-market plans

2. Implement product and pricing strategies in alignment with Regional / Global Marketing

3. Based on data analytics, understand consumer/shopper insights, competitive trends and key portfolio benefits to best position our branded products to serve consumers. Provide constant feedback to Regional and Global Teams; Track category, competition, consumer cleaning habits / trends in market and evaluate potential improvements to products in given category

4. Develop strong communication plan for driving awareness, consideration and conversion for category

5. Along with Media agency, develop and implement media plan (TV and Digital), following the communication strategy based on brand objectives

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Develop Customer selling stories and coordinate Customers line reviews to help drive top line sales, awareness, and trial of products for customer shelf sets

2. Manage the A&P budget of the assigned product category portfolio, ensuring no overspend and key promotions are well managed, providing a clear ROI on all monies spent

3. Track products P&L and product Gross Margin mix of given product category

4. Recommend go-to-market trade/shopper marketing elements including retailer product assortment, pricing, and merchandising (both, in-store and online)
