Position: Senior Manager Manufacturing
Location: Nashik
Reporting to: HOD-Manufacturing
Criteria: BE/BTech in Industrial Engineering OR Mechanical Engineering with 10+ Years’ experience in various automobile OR Engineering industries with Die casting, Forging, Welding, Machining, and assembling processes.
Job Purpose:
Plays a vital role in developing and setting up the world class manufacturing / production process which delivers most productive and high-quality products / components to clearly defined standards. It contributes to the creation and implementation of best practice production engineering, planning vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to facilitate and improve operational performance.
Key Skills:
-
Hands on 5S, Kaizen, Visual Management, Value Stream Mapping, lean tools, SMED etc.

Problem solving tools like Six sigma Green Belt / Black Belt.

Hands on FMEA, PPAP, New product / process developments
-
Process Capability / SPC Study.
-
IMS / TS 16949 Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor.
-
Knowledge of TPM / Industry 4.0.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Define and work out how effectively the product will be manufactured, assembled on the production line.

Process planning, process design, process layouts, time study, method study till packaging and dispatch.

Review efficiencies of production lines / sections and eliminate waste within the manufacturing process.

Evaluate manufacturing processes based on Quality, Productivity, Cost, Rejection, Manpower and energy consumption.

Study the need of the production department for upgradation of machines, tools, jig & fixtures and material handling aids.

Design and install the new machines and equipment.

Develop effective, automated, semi-automated OR manual systems as per requirements. Implement Poka-yoke, fool proofing, error proofing to avoid rejections / mistakes.

Study the line balancing needs and upgrade the machines, equipment and resources.

Drive continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle times, process improvement, machine availability through lean techniques and value engineering to enhance the capability of existing processes and remove waste.

Supervises tooling operations, ensuring all work is performed accurately and according to quality and safety standards.

Provides guidance and oversight in development and execution of plant renovations and expansions, coordinates outside contractors and vendors. liaison with 3rd party agencies like facility providers and approving agencies.

Technical support to SCM for Settling the commercial negotiations with suppliers related to infrastructure, new facilities, renovations etc.
