Position: Manager-Contracts
Location: Mumbai
Reporting To: Project Manager
Criteria: Diploma with 12+ Years of Experience or /BE/B.Tech with 10+ Years of experience in Contract Management from EPC Industry (Degree in Law or Post Graduate in Contract Management shall be added advantage)

Job Purpose: Responsible for Development, Management, and Maintenance of all main contracts and subcontracts of the Company.
Key Responsibilities:

Assume responsibility for all project contractual activities right from the bidding stage, hand over from BD/Proposal Group until all relevant contractual obligations are complete and all relevant contractual issues are resolved /settled.

To ensure Proper Drafting & Development of Contracts for various works.

Identification of Customer/Consortium and other third party obligations and development and implementation of the Project Contract Commercial Plan, including Project Claim Strategy.

Support project risk and opportunity identification and analysis. Support the management of risks and opportunities by development and implementation of appropriate Project Contract Commercial Plan.

Management of Contracts including responding to contractual correspondence, preparation of issuance of contractual notices, change orders and claims.

Responds to claims submitted by subcontractors and prepares counter claims with the support of the project team.

Provides correct and valuable advice to the project team in order to manage rights and obligations.

Establishment and implementation of project specification contractual procedures, particularly regarding claims, insurance, variation orders, correspondence and notifications for both main contracts and subcontracts.

Advise Project Team in monitoring transaction compliance (milestones, deliverables, invoicing, etc.) Handle on-going issues and change management. Monitor contract close-outs, extensions and/or renewal.

To check that contractual obligations are absolved by subcontractors.

Together with the discipline supervisors and the project team to discuss and analyse Subcontractors requests for contractual amendments and claims, preparing the supporting documents for formal issues by the Home Office Subcontracts Unit.

Prepare advanced legal/contractual agreements (clients /suppliers /subcontractors) and provide risk management expertise encompassing all aspects of the EPC process.

Manage the identification and investigation of critical and non-critical delaying and / or disruptive events affecting the subcontracts and the Main Contract.
