Position: Operation Engineer- Utility

Location: Navi Mumbai

Criteria: Diploma with 4+ years of hands on experience in relevant field.

Job purpose:

Operation Engineer in Utility Ops & Maintenance ensures continuous plant Utility system operation, monitoring, and handling emergencies independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Should be the available resource during shift and will attend to any problems related to Utility.

  • Should know the operations/maintenance of all Utility equipment (Air compressors, Diesel Generating sets, DM plant, Boilers, etc.) including HVAC systems (cooling towers, chillers,dehumidifiers, pumps, AHU’s etc.).

  • Maintaining all processes deliverable within defined standard limits.

  • Monitoring of Utility operations, energy consumptions (natural gas, power, oxygen, nitrogen, water etc.)

  • Planning & execution of Predictive, Preventive & Breakdown maintenance,

  • Work as team member of the shift maintenance group & involved in the problem solving activities in the plant.

  • Should have basic knowledge regarding Estate/Facility maintenance.

  • Operations & Maintenance of Utilities.

  • Fault diagnosis & rectification, technical skills for sound, cost effective & quality repairs/ overhauling with precision, troubleshooting of plant equipment issues, monitoring faults and taking corrective actions as and when necessary.

  • Strong Fundamentals.

  • Erection, commissioning and start-up of Capital projects / Plant modification jobs.

  • Co-ordinate with plant & external agency for predictive, routine maintenance, preventive maintenance and shutdown maintenance in a planned manner & Prioritization.

  • Knowledge of equipment inspection and failure analysis.

  • Evaluate bidder’s technical submittals, prepare recommendations, and respond to technical queries and clarification.

  • Ensure compliance with Company’s ISO procedures.

  • Planning of duties, scheduling of contractor labour.

  • ERP (SAP) - PM Module usages and control.

  • To work with & support a team of engineers for carrying out various types of operations & maintenance.

  • Preparation of cost estimates, engineering specifications, enquiry documents, technical evaluation of bids etc.

  • Utility Operations & Maintenance budget preparation, monitoring & control, expense record & downtime analysis, root cause failure analysis.

  • Safety & Statutory compliance.

  • Should have sound knowledge about BOM preparation for specific jobs.

  • Should have sound knowledge about TPM.
