Position: Assistant Manager-Marketing(Product)
Location: Mumbai
Reporting To: Product Manager
Criteria: MBA(Marketing) with 3+ years of experience in Marketing/Product Management, ideally in FMCG non-food.
Skills:
-
Knowledge in Product Marketing (product development, consumer insights, positioning)
-
Knowledge of the local Market, Consumer and Clients
-
Ideally knowledge in Category Management, Shopper understanding and outlet management, Knowledge of relevant software tools (MS Office etc.)
Specific Skills & Knowledge:
-
Basic understanding of principles of a P&L statement and financial key figures (KPIs)

Agency management (Creative, Media and Research)
-
Adherence to the safety instructions and HSE policies

Job Purpose:
Responsible for the effective execution of development plans made by each product manager. Ensure that the brand promise is maintained & that the brand stays true to its values & positioning.
Key Result Areas:

Category Turnover, growth & profitability

Market share growth
Key Responsibilities:
-
Execute annual business plan for the given product category.
-
Design suitable marketing activities budget in the given marketing budget at optimal pay-out
-
Monitor and analyse the category development plan on a continuous basis and come up with corrective actions considering the present market scenario.

Support new product launches, maximizing international synergies.
-
Agency management – Creative, Media and Research.
Additional Responsibilities:
-
Research extensively from primary and secondary sources about the product being handled in order to be able to provide real time and useful information to the Product Manager.

Identify opportunities for increased sales and profit, short and long term. Implement effective support plans.
