Position: Lab & Application Engineering Intern
Location: Chennai
Reporting To: Application Engineering Manager/Lab Lead
Criteria: BE/ B.Tech (Chemical)/Polymer Technology with 1 Year of Experience in Lab Testing.
(Open for Freshers).
Skills & Competencies
- Basic understanding of laboratory practices and testing methods
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong learning agility and adaptability
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Attention to detail and structured working style.
Job Purpose:
Support the Lab and Application Engineering team in executing routine testing, product application activities, and maintaining efficient laboratory operations. To enhance lab productivity, ensure disciplined documentation, and contribute to cross-functional and global collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in routine laboratory testing and validation activities
- Support product application trials and evaluations
- Prepare test samples and ensure accurate recording of results
- Maintain and update laboratory documentation and test reports
- Manage lab materials, chemicals, and sample inventory
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Plant, QA, Application Engineering teams)
- Collaborate with global counterparts (India & China Application Teams) for technical support activities
- Ensure adherence to lab safety, quality standards, and 5S practices
