Position: Assistant Manager – Supply Chain Operations.

Location:  Navi Mumbai

Criteria

Candidates with B. Tech and an MBA with 7 – 9 years of experience in Chemical/Oil & Gas/ Pharma/FMCG ,  experience in SAP/S4Hannah operation preferred. Strong MS office skills  

Objective: Manage supply chain operations including EXIM operations for speciality chemical business. 

Job Description:

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure high safety/compliance standards are maintained by all LSP at all times.
  • Ensure 100% compliance of Operations as per legal requirement for storage/handling/invoicing/transportation of as applicable 

Vendor/ Operations Management

  • Monitor planned vs actual performance of all vendors and take corrective measures
  • Regular and timely monitoring of LSPs via defined KPIs, analysis of data from SAP system and / or developing / implementing new KPIs relevant to the business. Conduct regular service provider    performance reviews.

Inventory Management

  • Forecast requirements to vendors for on time resource availability and allocation
  • Monitor and review logistics MIS on daily basis
  • Identification of Lapses in process/operation/Physical Verification of stocks etc at Warehouse by conducting regular inspection /surprise checks and take preventive action to avoid such recurrence
  • Management of Stock (counting / investigation / reconciliation / keeping in suitable condition etc)

Exim Operations

  • Ensure sustainable and smooth Handling of Export-Import and Customs Operations by team as per service delivery agreement
  • Evaluate infrastructure at various Ports and define operational modalities for various Business Process Variants in Import and Export. (High Seas, Stock and Sale, MET, In-Bond Sales) and define process with Roles and responsibilities.
  • Evaluate bond warehouse options at Ports / ICDs and prepare SOP and put in place operational mechanism for BPV – Bond sale as part of Project Switch.
  • Representation of Company at custom, foreign trade and import and export operations (complete responsibility for complete EXIM process)
  • Performance Management of EXIM Operations via KPI monitoring and reporting the same in effective and timely manner
  • Drive improvement projects in EXIM Operations through regular reviews. Guide the team, monitor the planned savings and to ensure it is achieved
  • Ensure compliance of Relevant Laws in the area of Supply Chain Operations (Excise Act, Customs Act, Foreign Trade Policy, SEZ Act etc.)
  • To keep a track of changing notifications/circulars in Excise/Customs/ Foreign Trade and ensuring compliance to the same
  • To facilitate and keep track of all Disputes / Audit Findings in Customs / Excise / CESTAT and interface with Company Consultants
  • Quarterly Business Review with service providers for service improvement.
  • To have a good IT tool / software where the entire Import-Export transactions are captured.
  • Ensure all custom facilitation measures like DPD/AEO/ FTP Benefits/ Export Incentives are availed

Cost Optimization & efficiency improvement

  • Ensure optimal operational, freight, distribution and process efficiencies in WH operations
  • Ensure WH & CHA capacities are aligned with the forecast and on time smooth deliveries as per plan
  • Identify new areas of improvement, new routes to optimize cost, use of IT for improving customer service
  • Identification of Process Improvements /Area of Improvements/Automations in operations
