Position: Executive Purchase
Location: Ankleshwar
Reporting to : Purchase Manager
Criteria:
Bachelor in Engineering( Mechnical) with 4+ years of experience in purchase
Job Purpose
To plan, source, negotiate, finalize, and document procurement of Engineering Spares(domestic& import), consumables, raw materials, commodities, Freight (inbound & outbound) etc. Effective, reliable, and timely procurement of desired quality of material & services at optimal cost.
Objective:
1. To understand the criticality of requirement and ensure material receipt asper schedule, at right cost and right quality.
2. Effective Risk Management and Compliance.
3. Continuous improvement and waste reduction in procurement process,inventory management and vendor management.
4. Business transformation initiatives to create competitive advantage.
5. Savings through negotiation, alternate supplier and indigenization etc.
6. To develop vendors for various critical purchase and assessment of the same.
7. To analyse stock / inventory and ensure optimum inventory.
8. Preparing and managing contracts for goods /services and evaluation of the same.
9. To adhere to government rules and regulation in purchase of various item.
10. Preparing monthly reports on spends, KPI etc.
Principal accountabilities
1. Improve customer service
a. Timely delivery of desired quality of material at optimal costand required quantity (no stock-out situation)
b. Effectiveness & efficiency of the procurement process.
2. Cost effectiveness (In Raw Materials, Projects, Engineering & Maintenance,
Imports, Freight etc.) and improve efficiency. Increase in procurement ROI =cost savings / total spends
3. Waste elimination & Continuous Improvement
a. Drive quality culture within department
b. Review and introduce departmental procedure & work instructions
c. Rate contract (i.e., ARC / AMC) of repetitive spends
d. Best practice implementation through benchmarking and develop market intelligence on major spends.
4. EHS & Risk Mitigation
a. Proactively identify and manage risks that could lead to noncompliance
b. Ensure 100% compliance of all applicable laws, rules & regulations, and statutory requirement in all procurement process
