Position: Asst/Dy Manager- Engineering and Maintenance

Department: Operations

Location:  Kharagpur, West Bengal

Reporting To: Factory Manager

Criteria: BE/ BTech Mechanic with 5+ years of experience in specialty chemicals/construction chemicals manufacturing unit

Functional

  • Good understanding of pumps, mixers, powder processing equipment, filling machines etc.
  • Good understand of engineering drawings, layouts, P&ID, process flow, TPM methodologies
  • Well versed with material handling equipment functioning and its maintenance needs
  • Good understanding of packaging machines for powders and Proven experience as maintenance manager or maintenance planner 
  • Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment

  • Good in integrity and ethical behaviour 

Scope of position

  • To Work as a member of a concrete team at the branch level and in coordination with all related
  • departments within the Company.
  • To do his allocated job with honesty, sincerity & loyalty to the Company. To select & focus on the most attractive markets in the areas of Ready Mix, Site Batched Concrete Projects, Precast & Cement Plants.

 Job Responsibility:

  •  Developing maintenance strategy and procedures and ensuring implementation of the same
  •  Prepare maintenance budget, expenditure plan and control the budget for maintenance
  •  Track and improve plant reliability by implementing maintenance best practices
  • Conduct bad actor analysis, root cause analysis for breakdown cases and document properly
  • Provide monthly reports related to Engineering and Maintenance
  • Develop clear plan of critical equipment and spares inventory and ensure adequate inventory is available on hand
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedule for equipment
  • Plan and execute periodic and timely calibration of all measuring equipment in the factory, ensure legal
  • compliance and govt authority liaising as needed
  • Planning and scheduling of activities to ensure that the resources are utilized efficiently.
  • Ensure standardization of equipment and spare parts where possible
  • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers as well as develop new and competitive
  • partners in association with procurement
  • Ensure that maintenance records are documented and analyzed properly
  • Implement workplace safety policies and standards.
  • To strictly follow the systems and procedure as per ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004
