Position: Sales Manager 

Location: Kolkata 

Reports To: Head of Sales

Criteria: BE in Polymers/ Chemical/ Mechanical with Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in sales, Business development and Key Account Management of Polymers, Coatings, Elastomers for Automotive industry 

Key Interfaces - Internal:

  • Business monitoring

  • Customer Group Managers

  • Technical Services

  • Supply Chain Manager – Demand Planning & imports to ensure control of inventory

Key Interfaces - External:

  • Customers -   Value adding, contracting, implementing strategy management, day to day customer support, marketing & sales actions, relationship building, business management. AR control.

 Responsibilities:

  • Development of process & conducting analysis of present market size, competition, technology & process.

  • Managing commercial efforts at targeted geography in consultation with Sales Head-Industry and respective Customer Group Managers.

  • Proactively seek information about customers business, application challenges, production bottlenecks and provide solution in consultation with Sales Head -Industry, Technical Service and respective Customer Group Managers.

  • Proactively obtain market feedback for continuous improvement, competitor information (Technology, pricing etc.) to alert for opportunity / competition threat and share with Sales Head-Industry and other internal contacts.

  • Proactively Identify and capture new opportunities with existing customers and develop new accounts.

  • Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price in line with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.

  • Establishing periodic forecasts for assigned accounts. Provide forecasts to the supply chain to manage inventory and meet customers' delivery schedules.

  • Maintaining current business and relationships with on-going, stable customers. Cultivate strong business relationships with key decision makers.

  • Collection of Account receivables in assigned customer base.

  • Conduct marketing events to create awareness like webinar, seminar, roadshow and technology day at key accounts to update on innovations and best practices globally to create new opportunities.

  •  Attend complaints (if any) and develop a sustainable action plan to avoid complaints and improve customer satisfaction level.

  • Obtain validation of Company solutions by customers through demonstration/trials, lab tests etc.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
