Position : Marketing Director - India

Location: Mumbai

Reporting To: COO India

Criteria : MBA with 9+ Years of Experience into Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, Media management.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Mentality to drive and execute

  • Interest and ability to work in a changing environment and passion to proactively drive change

  • Sales experiences and general management experience is a plus

  • Makes the most of relationships with people and groups (interpersonal relationship skills) – Solid cross-functional/ cross-cultural player with the ability to interface with all levels, functions and cultures within the organization.

  • Written and oral presentation skills (i.e. speaking, persuasive communication, and presenting to groups)

Job Purpose: 

  • To generate profitable growth and market share through the management of the company’s product portfolio, including the development of new products. 

  • Responsible for the planning, development and execution of local Marketing initiatives according to the global and regional business and marketing strategy. 

  •  Member of the local Consumer Leadership Team and gives significant input to the development of the local business strategy. 

  •  To understand end consumer needs and translate into products and services. Key targets are net sales, profit, market share and brand equity. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor own brand and product performance, competitive performance and market/ consumer   dynamics and translate those into business opportunities. 

  • Define and manage the product portfolio for India. Consolidate consumer insights, best practices and trends, category and competitive activities

  • Drive a winning innovation roadmap and pipeline versus competition, in close collaboration with APAC region and global teams. Lead stage gates with the team 

  • Develop, execute and monitor the Marketing Strategy, Marketing Plan and Marketing Budget

  • Develop launch support material including advertising, master trade argumentations, and POSM material, online communication material

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Lead local Marketing agencies (Media, Online, PR, Research); Adapt / co-develop ATL and BTL communication under the lead of the global team

  • Develop close work relationships with other departments including the International Marketing community

  • Bring brand and consumer mind set into the organization.

  •  Lead and develop the local Marketing and product development team 

  • Improve portfolio management (including NPD) and efficiency programs (cost saving, product  harmonization,etc.)
