Criteria: M. Sc. – Chemistry/ B.E/ B.Tech (Chemical) with 15+ Years’ Experience in Sales and Marketing Specialty Chemical
Job Role: Responsible for preparing and implementing sales and marketing strategy for Perfochem Division to achieve the company’s business goals w.r.t. top line as well as bottom line and be accountable for vertical's P&L
Responsibilities
Strategy
-
Preparing sales and marketing strategies for achieving organization’s business growth
-
Conducting market intelligence study to know current trends, new technologies/ products in pipeline, potential threat identification and mitigation plan
-
Managing the P&L responsibilities for the Paint & Polymer SBU
-
Anticipating strategic/ operational challenges and have contingency plan in place
-
Budgeting for sales and marketing activities
Business Development
-
Collaborating with existing and prospective customers to understand their needs and promote existing/ new products, and to provide sales support
-
Knowing customer’s customers in order to tap requirements, deeper knowledge on applications
-
Co-ordinating with manufactures for new application development, enhancement of existing applications
-
Conducting application trials at end user with the help of technical team from manufacturer to establish specified product application
-
Build rapport, collaborate with and manage relationship with customers and manufacturers
-
Assist team with data, technical inputs and visits wherever required
Customer Relationship Management
-
Educating end users on product applications and operating procedures
-
Facilitate resolution of customer complaints regarding product performance, sales and service
-
Monitor product development based on customer feedback as applicable
Sales Process Management
-
Planning for sales targets and conduct review with Sales team/ channel partners for achieving current and proposed sales w.r.t. sales targets

Reviewing operational records and reports of product wise sales and determine profitability
-
Monitor various intra departmental support required within the team to meet client commitments
-
Ensure weekly/monthly/quarterly sales reports are submitted on time
-
Monitor and review outstanding collections from customers with the team

Monitor sample approval process at the customer
Marketing Management

Prepare Marketing Budgets
-
Develop and implement Marketing collaterals – Brochures, Digital presence

Attend Exhibitions, seminars
Team Management
-
Monitor the team on internal systems of company’s documentation or processes adherence
-
Motivate the team to keep the working spirit and passion alive
-
Provide sales and product training wherever required
-
Evaluate and communicate performance periodically of the team

Anticipate and manage team grievances
Knowledge Management

Interact frequently with other Business Heads for sharing knowledge and opportunities

Support other Business Heads in business development/ sales activity as required

Develop and implement knowledge management process within the team Key Technical
Competencies:

Sales and Marketing: Knowledge of principles and methods for promoting and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, sales techniques, and sales control systems

Technical Know-How: Knowledge of Products and their respective applications Understand customer's needs for new product applications Translate the needs to manufacturers for enabling product development

Customer Service: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction

Administration and Management: Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique
