Position:
Assistant Finance Manager

Location: Navi Mumbai

Reporting To: Country Manager

Reportees: 2

Criteria: MBA(Finance)/M.Com/Inter ICWA, Accounting, Finance with 7+ years of Experience into Accounts and Finance

Other Skills:

  • Intermediate level / knowledge of Microsoft office

  • Intermediate level / knowledge of SAP or other ERP system 

  • Good knowledge of banking terms and procedure

Technical Skills and Competencies: 

  • Accounting and tax systems

  • Data governance

  • Claims management

  • Financial closing

  • Internal audit function management

  • Audit compliance

  • Regulatory compliance

  • Tax compliance

Job Purpose:

  • Ensure financial statements of the Company is in accordance with accounting standard and policies

  • Responsible for all finance function activities

  • Provide leadership and coaching to subordinates

Job Responsibility:
Financial Reporting, Management Reporting Data Analysis

  • Responsible for overall financial reporting

  • Responsible for data analysis of the financial results

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly Exco report

Audit & Tax , Cycle Counts & Stock Take

  • Take charge of external audit

  • Take charge of internal audit

  • Responsible for tax compliance and reporting matters

  • Plan and participate in cycle count and stock takes

Budgeting & Forecasts

  • Prepare annual budgets and forecasts and monitor achievement of budgets

Credit & Cashflow Management

  • Responsible for overall credit control function

  • Perform annual credit review and recommend changes if necessary

  • Responsible for overall cashflow management

Policies & Procedures

  • Responsible for compliance with financial policies and procedures

  • Review financial and accounting policies, procedures and controls and recommend improvement

Health & Safety

  • Ensure that safe working practices are used and appropriate Health and Safety legislation adopted

  • Exercise responsibility for carrying out and adhering to the Health and Safety Policy and Procedure

Others

  • Keep abreast of changes in accounting standard and tax regulations

  • Take charge of implementing changes in accounting standard, policies and procedures and Finance related projects

  • Represent Finance in cross functional projects or discussions to support other HOD or Exco for finance related matters

  • Provide leadership and coaching to executive to enhance their competencies

  • Assist the Group Finance Manager with the development of the goals, priorities, and work programs for the department

  • Any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the superior or Management
