Position: Operation Engineer – Instrumentation
Location: Navi Mumbai
Reporting to: Lead Engineer – Maintenance
Criteria: - Diploma/BE (Instrumentation) with experience of 2+ years in Maintenance

Technical Skills
- Exposure to PLC & Field Instrumentation/SCADA
- Predictive maintenance and generating QAPs
- Ability to verify & confirm technical specifications of the entire spectrum of spares, and modify specifications as needed
- Proficiency in reading Engineering Drawings and P&IDs
- Thorough exposure to work practices, including work permits, reporting of work completion, and SOPs
- Familiarity with ISO 9000, ISO 14000, and OHSAS 18000 systems
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.
- Experience as an Energy Manager/Auditor would be an advantage
- Experience with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
- Skills for sound, cost-effective & quality repairs/ overhauling with precision, Problem-solving, and troubleshooting of plant equipment.
Purpose of the Job
Execute the Instrumentation maintenance activities and handle the entire plant maintenance operations independently.
Key Accountabilities
The role involves ensuring the smooth operation of the plant's control systems and overseeing maintenance across multiple areas like Fiberglass winder, Batch & Furnace, Utilities, Cake oven, Chemical preparation, Roving, CSM, Type-30, and Fabrics. The engineer must vigilantly monitor these systems and be ready to independently manage plant maintenance, including handling emergencies like power outages.
Key Deliverables
- Understand the PM activities on CSM / Roving and other equipment for optimum uptime.
- Understand the winder maintenance, and PM activities & support the team to minimize the downtime on the winder and increase productivity.
- Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs is essential. Technical knowhow on PLC functioning and adjusting the parameters and Knowledge of the ControlLogix system are essential
- A strong team player
- Hands-on Experience in SAP, PM, and MM modules will be an added advantage
- Working experience in the Continuous Process Industry will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating and maintaining instruments and control systems.
- Overseeing the erection, commissioning, and startup of capital projects and plant modifications related to instrumentation.
- Managing indenting and inspection processes.
- Diagnosing and rectifying faults in technical systems.
- Coordinating with plant teams for predictive, routine, preventive, and shutdown maintenance, prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Ensuring compliance with the company's ISO procedures.
- Utilizing ERP (SAP) systems for efficient control and management.
- Collaborating with and supporting a team of engineers in maintenance activities.
- Developing cost estimates, engineering specifications, and enquiry documents.
- Preparing and managing maintenance budgets, monitoring expenses, and analyzing downtime through root cause failure analysis.
