Don't Pick A Job , Pick A Boss!

Life is a journey and we embark on it as soon as we are born. The journey goes through different phases from Kinder-garden to University and then post graduation to a job in corporate.

Growing up with a support system of family, teachers, mentors, councilor and then moving to a new human entrant called Boss who will play a key role in your life journey. A boss is an indirect parent, friend and guide on your job platform.  A good boss supports the employees of the organization by eliminating roadblocks and barriers to success and represent the employees upward in the organization, so that outstanding employees can be recognized for their talents and potential.

Boss are looked upon as mentors for aspiring workforce and the onus to guide and coach lies on the him.

A good boss can make a bad job tolerable or even enjoyable, and a bad boss can turn an otherwise gratifying occupation into a miserable experience. It can be stressful to go to work, be at work--even think about work.

Once you face this dilemma just focus on looking out for opportunities. Whatever the discussion keep written record for your safety. Exposure to stress hormones over time is very, very bad for your physical and emotional health.

Bosses are often the primary reason for people either loving or leaving their jobs. A boss, as Joan Lloyd writes, is the umbilical cord that connects employees to an organization, and if that cord is damaged, the employees will eventually leave.

'People don't leave bad companies but bad managers' - Marcus Buckingham

Corporates are recognizing the talent drain due to this ignored aspect some are yielding the pull on the boss and some still remain silent spectator which ruins the corporate reputation in the long run.
