Position: Manager Security
Location: Patalganga (Mulberi)
Reports to: Sr. Manager -Plant HR
Position’s Purpose
Protect and safeguard Company’s Premises, People and assets from thefts, malpractices, natural calamity, Industrial unrest, trespassing and riots situations and controlling law & order situation at plant. Protect premises from illegal activities, access, and dangerous behaviors or situations and respond promptly to handle/combat dangerous or hazardous situations befittingly. Enforce the rules and regulations of the organization to prevent unlawful, suspicious and unsafe activities. Create strong deterrence for any breach of security and develop strong public relations with govt authorities for having peaceful and seamless plant operations
Criteria :
Qualifications & Education:
- Graduate from any stream with post graduate degree or diploma in Industrial Security or the retired officer from Defense services, Police, Border Security Force, CRPF etc
Skills/Experience/Knowledge:
- Minimum 12 years’ experience in handling security in large or medium size organization
Key Accountabilities:
- Implementation of SOPs and Security plans
- Define the rules and policies for the management and operations of the project safety and security. Planning and implementing effective security policies and procedures for Company's assets & personnel.
- Advice management on security organizational structure, configuration of security technologies and deployment of security personnel.
- Review and evaluate security related reports, audits and to conduct follow-up investigations.
- Selection, Training and periodic review of performance of security agencies and its personnel.
- Ensure Access controls with in premises.
- Monitoring & Investigation:
To monitor the security across the project as well as ensure safe environment; tracking loss, damage & pilferage.
Conduct investigations and compile reports on a timely manner for any theft, loss, accidents or any aspect that risk the safety and security of the Company.
Leveraging Technology help in regards to controlling pilferage and thefts
- Liasoning - Coordinate with external police authorities in the investigation and handling of crimes, accidents, Government Ministers moments etc., involving Company, its employees, and visitors. Strong networking with nearby industries to have direct access to important communication & critical incidences.
- Traffic & Fleet Management
Develop & adhering to the Standard Operating Procedure & monitoring of Traffic management with in the premises & provide assistance to local traffic authorities in close proximity of the property.
Prevent & Detect traffic offenses such as over speeding, dangerous driving & damage to own property.
Monitoring employees bus service/site car facility and ensure timely services to all.
- Material Management
Develop & adhering to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) & monitor documentation of inward / outward & returnable material movement.
Regular audits of various gate passes and material registers & records
- Loss Prevention and Risk Assessment
Institute mechanism for assessing risk and vulnerabilities as a preventive measure
Implement policies for preventing loss of property and personnel.
Maintain adequate intelligence collecting measures and vigilance control.
- Additional duties
To perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the scope of duties of the project
Key Challenges:
- Effective handling of unrest & mob situation and creating strong deterrence for any breach of security.
- Effective liasioning with Police & related authorities.
- Preventing trespassing and entry of the unwanted persons/groups
- Preventing thefts & procedural investigation
- Maintaining law & order situation on the premises
Communication and Working Relationship (Internal/External):
External – Visitors, Administrative Service Providers, Govt Officials, Police,
Local Political leaders
Internal – HR Head, all HODs, Contractors, employees, Security guards
