This quote perfectly encapsulates my online internship journey with the PMCPL's student internship program - Akshara Imperishable Learning. As a second-year BBA student, this experience has been a transformative chapter in my academic and professional life, filled with learning, challenges, and unforgettable moments.
The Nervous Beginning
Starting my virtual internship was both exciting and intimidating. Would I meet expectations? Could I handle the responsibilities? These questions lingered as I stepped into this new world. Fortunately, the program’s culture of support and mentorship made all the difference. My mentor, Sarla Ma’am, was a guiding light, often staying late online to provide constructive feedback and ensure I felt confident in my abilities.
Learning and Growth
During this internship, I mastered the art of crafting impactful quotes and captions, gaining the ability to connect with diverse audiences. Scheduling and posting content for festivals and quotes taught me discipline and time management. Over time, I began mentoring other interns and auditing their work, which deepened my understanding of teamwork and quality assurance. These responsibilities pushed me to refine my skills and embrace leadership roles.
The habit of conducting thorough research before writing anything was strongly ingrained in us during the program. This prominent practice has had a lasting impact on me. Today, even before I think of starting any task, research has become second nature. This habit has significantly improved the quality and depth of my work.
Embracing Technology
The exposure to technology was a pivotal part of my journey. Canva became my go-to tool, and I explored its features to create visually appealing designs that met professional standards. Understanding how multinational corporations utilize such platforms for branding and marketing expanded my perspective on social media marketing.
Memorable Milestones
Among the highlights, being entrusted as the project head for two companies, SRIF and TaxLegal, was a standout moment. It was an opportunity to lead, strategize, and deliver impactful results—a responsibility that reinforced my confidence and determination.
A Transformative Experience
This internship taught me the value of mentorship, collaboration, and stepping out of my comfort zone. The supportive environment of the Akshara Imperishable Learning Internship Program played a vital role in shaping my career aspirations. As I move forward, I will carry these lessons and memories as a source of inspiration and motivation.
