Position: VRM Application Engineer

Location: Pune

Reporting to: Senior Manager- VRM

Criteria: Diploma/BE/B.Tech( Paint/Mech/Chemical/ Automotive/ Industrial or similar) with 3+ Years of Experience in Repair and maintenance/ Technical Support/ After Sales from Chemical or Automotive Indz.

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge of automotive aftermarket, Adhesives, sealants, Paints, repair methods and technology is a plus.

  • Know how and where to use products in the automobile industry.

  • Ability to use automotive hand tools /Automotive Body shop experience.

  • Knowledge of automobile industry -two-wheeler, Electric Vehicle, passenger car segment, commercial vehicles, trucks, buses, railways, tractors, farm equipment etc.

  • Ability to do hands-on training & demonstrations with tools, dispensers & equipment.

  • Fluency in English and Hindi (written & spoken) and Local language (Any south India language, Marathi is an added advantage). 

  • Computer skills: Strong presentation, communication skills, proficient in MS office application  office (Excel/Powerpoint/Word, teams, webinars). Prepared to travel (regular short term business trips in the area of responsibility to customers and other facilities). Driving license B (for cars)

  • High level of ownership, willingness for problem solving and making an impact for the business unit.

  • Self driven person who enjoys creating value for the business as well as a team player,while having fun.

  • Ability to be open and share his/her creative ideas, feedbacks and suggestions with the related manager and team.

  • Excellent team working and relationship skills, Ownership, Collaborative, Solution centric, Problem solver. High Self drive and proactive in work.

Job Description: 

  • Be a technical expert for the company's Vehicle Repair Maintenance business in all operational tasks and processes.

  • Drive top projects, engage and involve in Sales and Marketing initiatives and programs. Maintaining ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Deliver Specialized Professional training for customers – Distribution, OES, Glass fitters, fleet, AgCon etc.

  • Training/upskilling of local internal team i.e. Technical Sales Engineers

  • Be responsible for Training and Application Center, Maintain TAC in perfect working condition and as per company global guidelines, Responsible for all training plannings, coordinate and conduct training, technology days and webinars with Sales and Marketing teams.

  • Supporting Sales team in SX (Sales Excellence program), to conduct IWS (In workshop Seminar), seminars with technical expertise, technical coaching in field, training and Product & application demonstrations as need based etc.

  • Being in contact with other team members from different business units & functions and creating internal networks,attending the events and webinars.

  • Support for critical customer applications, provide technical information and recommending products, educate them for correct use of our products.

  • Leverage customer feedback to drive optimization in customer service and identify new business opportunities for sales colleagues.

  • Follow latest trends in application technology for the markets served by Company VRM and feed innovation pipeline

  • Testings & Trials - Be the first customer of new products developed by the R&D department, test & validate products and applications, prepare detailed test reports 

  • Coordinate local/regional product certifications. 

  • Able to make and contribute to the regular reports/ad -hoc and presentations preparations.

  • Create added value for the Company via thinking out of the box and not limiting within Job description.
